Job summary

Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa is seeking a CT technologist to perform high-precision imaging and ensure diagnostic quality.

You will guide patients through the imaging process, optimize positioning, and monitor safety to minimize anxiety and maximize accuracy. This role requires licensure in CPR/BLS and CT-specific credentials, with focus on radiation safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• NMTCB CT credential or ARRT CT required prior to hire in addition to CNMT.
• ARRT Radiography CT credential also accepted prior to hire.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Execute high-precision imaging by selecting exact anatomical parameters to ensure radiologists receive the diagnostic clarity needed for life-saving medical decisions.
• Guide and support patients through the imaging process, ensuring they are safely positioned and monitored to minimize anxiety and maximize image accuracy.
• Manage clinical safety protocols during the administration of contrast media and medications, strictly adhering to regulations to protect patient health.
• Champion radiation safety by meticulously following protective guidelines to ensure a secure environment for both the patient and the clinical team.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating scanning protocols and recommending refinements that enhance diagnostic quality and departmental efficiency.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
