Job summary

MetroHealth radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join the department and support high-quality diagnostic imaging for trauma, stroke and cancer patients in the Greater Cleveland area.

You will produce CT images, assist with CT-guided procedures and educate patients about procedures while maintaining safety and accuracy. Cross-training and cross-functional teamwork are emphasized within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assist with CT guided procedures including biopsies and drain placements.
• Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to maintain understanding and comfort.
• Demonstrate on-the-spot critical thinking and effective communication under stress.
• Collaborate with CT staff, nurses and physicians to provide quality care.
