Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic examinations and provide compassionate patient care. You will verify orders, operate imaging equipment, and maintain clean exam rooms while supporting teaching and quality initiatives.

The role requires ARRT RT(R) certification, CT State licensure, CPR, and an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program. Collaboration with physicians and staff ensures accurate records and optimal patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program. AS degree preferred but not required with relevant years of experience.
• ARRT RT(R) certification, Connecticut State License, and CPR Certification.
• All certifications must be current at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality and efficient diagnostic radiographic examinations using appropriate protocols and age-specific standards.
• Verify physician orders on requisitions 100% of the time.
• Operate radiographic equipment to ensure proper results and image quality.
• Prepare examination room to maintain a clean, safe environment and adequate supplies.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, safety, and cooperation.
• Edit and complete examinations in Imagecast for accurate medical records and billing.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring of technologists and students.
• Strive to enhance patient satisfaction in alignment with department goals.
