Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved radiologic technology program and ARRT Certification, CT Certification, and CT license.
• ARRT certification (CT) preferred; CPR certification required.
• Connecticut state license required; AS or BS degree preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic radiographic examinations and produce CT images for interpretation by radiologists.
• Operate CT equipment safely, conducting daily checks and reporting malfunctions.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies for exams.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Schedule radiologic examinations and ensure proper billing and documentation.
• Participate in teaching and support student technologists as needed.
• Operate CT scanners and related software to acquire diagnostic images with accuracy.
• Chaperone patients when necessary.
