Job summary

MetroHealth Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join the department for day/evening shifts in a 4x10-hour schedule. The role involves producing high-quality CT images, assisting with CT-guided procedures, and coordinating patient flow for inpatients and outpatients.

Strong anatomy knowledge, ARRT certification, Ohio license, and BLS are required. Cross-training and a supportive team environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.
• Preferred: One year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assisting with CT guided procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.
• On the spot critical thinking.
• Effective communication skills.
• Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision.
• Works well both independently and as part of the CT Team.
