Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging, verify orders with radiologists, and ensure patient safety. The role involves rotating 4x10 hour shifts, holidays and on-call, with sign-on bonus eligibility.

Must maintain ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB with CT registry within one year of hire and BLS. Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining history, operating CT equipment, and adhering to radiation safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam.
• Properly identify patients and assist with explanations of procedures.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history.
• Assumes responsibility for the exam from beginning to completion of dictated results.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast according to protocols; records type and amount.
