Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment with high proficiency. This role supports imaging services for inpatient and outpatient needs, following departmental protocols to ensure patient safety and quality results.

The position requires ARRT certification in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with CT registry within one year of hire and a BLS certification. Rotating shifts and weekend coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS certification.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanners and related equipment per departmental protocols.
• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers discrepancies to Radiologist.
• Positions patients, explains procedures, and documents on appropriate worksheets.
• Interviews patients for complete medical history and reviews EMR data.
• Maintains image quality and collaborates with Radiologist on additional images.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocol and records contrast type/amount.
• Adheres to radiation safety and infection control policies; participates in crisis response.
