Job summary

Atrium Health – Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures and manage patient care with radiology colleagues. You will operate CT scanners, prepare patients, and document contrast usage following department protocols.

The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification with BLS, strong radiation safety knowledge, and the ability to work in a high-demand hospital setting with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.
• ARRT radiology or NMTCB certification within 1 year of hire; BLS required.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Refers and questions orders to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Properly identifies patient and assists during procedures with explanations.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Operates radiology computer system and documents contrast in MAR.
• Maintains neat, stocked work area and adheres to safety policies.
• Rotates shifts, including call backs, holidays, and weekends.
