Job summary

Advocate Health in Kannapolis, NC seeks a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment in a high‑volume department. You’ll follow protocols, assist radiologists, manage contrast administration, and ensure patient safety and comfort during CT exams.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB CT registry within one year and strong teamwork. Weekend shifts, on‑call as needed, and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB CT registry within 1 year required
• BLS required
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development for patient populations

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanners and related equipment following departmental protocols.
• Verifies orders with radiologist and clarifies discrepancies.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and documents procedures.
• Administers IV contrast per protocol and records type/amount.
• Maintains radiation safety and clean, organized work area.
• Rotates shifts, including weekends and on-call as required.
• Assists in invasive procedures with CT guidance when needed.
• Communicates patient history and findings to radiologists and team.
