Job summary

Advocate Health’s Atrium Health Cabarrus - CT department seeks a Radiology CT Technologist to perform CT examinations under Radiologist supervision. You will prepare patients, obtain histories, and ensure accurate documentation and coding for procedures.

The role requires ARRT radiology (or NMTCB) certification with CT registry within one year and BLS. Radiology safety is a priority, and the position includes sign-on bonus eligibility and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles.
• Demonstrates competency appropriate to ages, culture, and developmental stages of the patient population served.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify and review orders; refer questions to Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures; prepare worksheets.
• Interview patients to collect medical history and review EMRs for pertinent data.
• Take responsibility for the exam from start to dictation results.
• Administer IV contrast per department protocol and document type/amount.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed; adjust as required.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures; follow sterile technique.
