Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Lead Imaging Technologist for the CT Department. The role oversees daily CT operations, schedules patient procedures, and coordinates staff. You will perform routine and complex CT scans, guide charted protocols, and support training and performance reviews of imaging staff.

The Lead Technologist collaborates with hospital staff, reviews education materials, and ensures adherence to quality standards and budgets. Onsite work with a 40-hour week is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiological Science program.
• Registration as CT technologist with ARRT.
• 2 years of clinical work experience in imaging.
• Good understanding of human anatomy.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and triages procedures based on priority level and skills needed.
• Performs routine and complex diagnostic CT scans.
• Ensures smooth flow of section activities and assists as needed.
• Provides leadership in decision making, problem solving, and staff development.
• Participates in hiring and performance evaluations for imaging staff.
• Trains new employees and students; updates imaging guidelines and protocols.
