Community Health Systems is seeking a Lead CT Technologist II to oversee CT imaging operations, ensure high-quality cross-sectional images, and supervise the radiology team. The role emphasizes patient safety, ALARA practices, and coordination with radiologists regarding complex studies.

The position requires clinical CT experience, ARRT CT certification, and strong teamwork. Relocation or sign-on considerations may be discussed as part of an overall benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CT imaging techniques and contrast administration.
• Strong knowledge of ALARA safety principles and patient protection.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and manage contrast reactions.
• Familiarity with interventional CT procedures and sterile technique.
• Experience with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT imaging procedures following established protocols for high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepares patients, screens for contraindications, and positions for optimal scans.
• Verifies orders and patient identification; documents in RIS/EMR.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides post-procedure instructions.
• Administers contrast as ordered and monitors for reactions.
• Uses I-Stat for creatinine/GFR when required and documents results.
• Assists in interventional CT procedures and patient comfort.
• Responds to emergencies and adheres to ALARA standards.
• Performs quality control on CT equipment and reports issues.
• Trains/mentors CT staff and updates protocols.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and collaborates with radiology领导.
