Job summary

Samsung HME America is seeking a field service engineer to support CT imaging systems and on-site service across Southern California. You will troubleshoot complex CT equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and respond quickly to service calls while traveling up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities include training engineers, building service knowledge bases, and coordinating with distributors. A technical degree and hands-on CT experience are preferred, with a strong customer-service mindset

Qualifications

• Associates Degrees in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Networking or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
• Technical training and at least 2 years hands on experience servicing medical equipment, CT and Imaging a plus.
• ISO, FDA, CMDR Awareness Training and Product Complaint System, or Certification – Health Stream.
• Experience with mechanical devices, tools, test equipment, telecommunications systems, and networking.
• Fluent English verbal and written communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Will travel overnight; valid driver’s license and clean record; background/drug testing.
• Budget, expense, and resource management experience required.
• Ability to assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations.

Responsibilities

• On-site troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems on CT equipment in a medical environment.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence by preventive maintenance and managing repair/parts cycle times.
• Ensure escalation situations are managed and corrected quickly and professionally.
• Provide 2nd line support to distributors in all aspects of customer support.
• Build a service data base of information to align with corrective action systems.
• Travel to the field to train and/or resolve customer issues; train service engineers.
