Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Assistant Tech Imaging to support radiology teams in a fast-paced environment. The role centers on coordinating patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting technologists, nurses and physicians during imaging procedures.

This full-time position requires strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and basic computer skills to retrieve orders and manage documentation across systems. A high school diploma and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for the patient throughout the treatment/procedure according to department and hospital standards.
• Sets up procedure rooms for patients and verifies paperwork and orders.
• Escort patients and assist technologists, nurses or physicians during exams.
• Processes CDs and handles patient flow to optimize department efficiency.
• Maintains scheduling and coordinates with clinical staff to minimize delays.
• Retrieves physician orders from EPIC, Chartview and Powerchart as needed.
