Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma and CPR (BLS) certification.

• Proficiency in basic computer systems and workflow applications.

Responsibilities

• Care for the patient during treatment/procedure per department standards and patient safety guidelines.
• Prepare procedure rooms and verify paperwork and physician orders.
• Explain exams and assist in preparing patients for exams/procedures.
• Assist technologists, nurses, or physicians during exams/procedures.
• Process and manage patient films and paperwork; maintain equipment and room cleanliness.
• Coordinate patient care and flow in imaging departments; communicate with clinical staff.
• Reconcile physician orders with exam protocols and escalate discrepancies.
• Retrieve orders from EPIC, Chartview, Powerchart and other systems.
• Verify patient demographic information for accuracy.
• Monitor schedule to optimize patient flow and inform coordinators of delays.
• Identify and obtain paperwork to start exams; handle outside films as needed.
• Report problems to supervisors; ensure proper safety checks are documented.
