Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Clinical Imaging Assistant (MRI) for full-time work 36 hours weekly. The role supports Diagnostic Imaging, handling patient prep, room readiness, and coordinating with technologists.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years in healthcare, with medical terminology knowledge; CPR/BLS within 3 months of hire. Windows experience and strong phone etiquette are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy; course to be completed within first year.
• Excellent telephone etiquette required.
• BLS/CPR certification obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Technologists by providing support of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including multiple clerical and patient service tasks.
• Assists technologists in providing efficient patient service.
• Assists with patient and room preparation for examinations.
• Ensures that necessary supplies are available.
• Greets patients and escorts them to examination room.
• Transport patients to and from other hospital departments as needed.
• Calls patients to confirm appointments.
