Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Assistant Tech Imaging to join the Imaging Services team. This full-time position (40 hours/week) requires shifts from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., five days per week.

The role involves coordinating patient flow, preparing exam rooms, assisting technologists, nurses and physicians, and handling related paperwork and film processing within Radiology. The assistant supports the care team by ensuring accurate patient information, assisting with exams, and maintaining

Responsibilities

• Cares for the patient throughout the treatment/procedure.
• Prepares procedure rooms for patients and work area.
• Assists in preparing patient for exam/procedure and explains exams.
• Follows directions to assist in performing exam/procedure on patients.
• Coordinates patient care based on imaging protocols and communicates with staff.
• Retrieves physician orders from EPIC, Chartview, Powerchart.
• Monitors schedule to ensure patient flow and informs delays.
• Organizes and prioritizes assigned work and schedules time for demands.
