Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a capable leader to manage a team of technicians and engineers for cryogenic and high-pressure gas system maintenance on a rocket test stand. You will drive a robust preventive maintenance program, coordinate internal and external resources, and lead root cause analyses to improve safety and reliability.

The role requires strong project management, people development, and a proven track record in safety culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong project management and team leadership.
• Experience with cryogenic systems maintenance.
• Experience with high pressure pneumatic systems maintenance.
• Experience leading a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ability to develop people and grow careers.
• Willingness to work off-shift, extended hours, and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in safe execution of cryogenic and high pressure gas system maintenance, electrical and data system maintenance, and structural maintenance.
• Drive a strong data-driven, planned preventive maintenance program.
• Perform root cause analysis and improvement projects to implement corrective actions or efficiency gains.
• Develop repair schedules and deliver test asset recovery after unplanned downtime.
• Organize resources to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule for maintenance Phases.
• Maintain employee training and development records.
• Lead labor and non-labor budget planning and execution.
• Prepare strategic plans and track progress against them.
• Develop the next generation of leaders within the team.
• Participate in root cause analysis and build a data-driven performance dataset.
