Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Seattle, seeks a Test Conductor/Engineer to own ground support equipment activation, develop test methods, and supervise a small team during test setups and tear-downs. You will coordinate test crews, ensure traceability, and drive efficient system testing across cryogenic and pneumatic subsystems.

The role requires a strong safety record, 5+ years in pressurized/test environments, and experience with GN2 systems, P&ID interpretation, and test procedure development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with background in pressurized equipment.
  • Experience writing and executing test procedures for GN2 systems.
  • Strong safety record.
  • Experience leading test teams as Test Conductor or Test Engineer.
  • Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs.
  • Experience developing fluids systems installation and checkout procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test procedures of facility subsystems against project requirements.
  • Design, plan, fabricate, install, and operate pneumatic and cryogenic test capabilities.
  • Develop test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing.
  • Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration.
  • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability.
  • Write test procedures, manage procedural red lines, and update during test campaigns.
  • Oversee vendor design and fabrication of fluids test equipment and support equipment.
  • Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews.
  • Perform facility activation tests of fluids subsystems.
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software.
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies in real time.
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks.
