Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior Mechanical/Equipment Engineer to own test infrastructure and production environments across multiple facilities. You will lead a diverse team of engineers and project managers, driving design, build, activation, and sustaining support for test facilities and production fluid systems.

Strong leadership, safety focus, and experience with cryogenic fluids are essential. Relocation is provided and travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 10+ years in mechanical/fluids/test systems engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience leading engineers through full lifecycle of fluid system development.

Responsibilities

• Own complete test infrastructure and production environment projects from requirements to activation; transition to Test Operations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and project managers across business units.
• Drive multiple test stand and production fluid system projects concurrently with schedule and budget oversight.
• Collaborate with DSCE, CAD, Facilities, Safety/EHS, Quality, and other teams to deliver integrated systems.
• Lead high‑pressure and cryogenic fluid systems safety analyses and integrate outputs into design.
