Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior fluids/piping engineer for the Launch Infrastructure Development Team. You will lead on-site cryogenic systems activities across LH2, LOX, LNG, LN2 facilities, ensuring safety, quality and performance during construction and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in fluids/piping, ASME B31.3 knowledge, and ITAR/EAR compliance. This on-site role requires collaboration with contractors and cross-functional teams at a major aerospace site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of fluids/piping systems engineering experience.
• Hands-on cryogenic fluid systems experience (LH2, LOX, LNG, LN2).
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and related cryogenic/gas standards.
• U.S. citizen or compliant with ITAR/EAR security controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site fluids systems technical resource during fabrication, construction, and commissioning of launch pad facilities.
• Review piping, valves, pumps and vessels for cryogenic/high-pressure systems; assess weld, testing, and purge plans.
• Perform field verifications for extreme temperature/pressure conditions and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with superintendents and contractors to resolve field design and construction issues.
• Oversee installation of cryogenic/gaseous piping systems and related support structures.
• Coordinate engineering compliance across multiple disciplines and contractors.
