Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior fluids systems engineer to lead on-site engineering for launch pad fluids infrastructure, including cryogenic and high‑pressure gas systems. You will coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and cross‑functional groups to ensure safety, quality, and performance of LH2, LOX, LNG, LN2, and related systems.

The role requires 8+ years in fluids/piping, hands-on cryogenic experience, and ASME B31.3 knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 8+ years of fluids/piping systems engineering experience, including field construction, installation, or commissioning on industrial or critical infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on cryogenic fluid systems experience (LH2, LOX, LNG, LN2).
  • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and related cryogenic/pressure system standards.
  • U.S. citizen or compliant with ITAR/EAR aerospace security controls.

Responsibilities

  • Launch Site Engineering Support for LH2, LNG, LOX, LN2, GHe, GH2, GOX and GN2 systems during fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  • Means & Methods Review of contractor installation plans for piping, valves, pumps and vessels.
  • Extreme Condition Verification including cryogenic thermal shock and high‑pressure cycling.
  • Real‑Time Field Resolution of design, fabrication, and construction conflicts.
  • Large Fluids Systems Installation oversight for cryogenic and gaseous piping, storage vessels, transfer lines, valve panels.
  • Contractor & Subcontractor Management across disciplines for fluids system installation and testing.
