Job summary

Independence Excavating, a longtime heavy civil contractor, seeks a Crusher Foreman to lead crushing projects from start to finish. You will oversee field activities, manage crews, ensure maintenance, and meet production requirements while upholding company values.

You will interpret procedures, coordinate with PM/Superintendent, and ensure safety compliance with MSHA/OSHA standards, while maintaining equipment efficiency and project profitability.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years related experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of MSHA and OSHA requirements and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of the proper maintenance and repair of aggregate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret material testing procedures, gradations, etc.
• Review project details with PM and Superintendent prior to the job start.
• Operate and maintain all crushing equipment on each job assigned.
• Coordinate mobilization of crusher equipment with the Superintendent.
• Schedule resources daily and establish an efficient work schedule with the Superintendent.
• Maintain subcontractor tickets and verify accuracy with PM.
• Submit time, receipts, JSA's, safety and equipment checklists as required.
• Communicate equipment applications and maintenance schedules with Supervisors.
• Perform all required paperwork.
• Uphold all safety practices and company safety procedures.
• Maintain positive company image in appearance, conduct, and communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Operate the job with compliance to safety and environmental guidelines.
