Job summary

Independence Excavating, Inc. is seeking a Crusher Foreman to lead field operations, manage crew and equipment, and ensure crushing projects meet production requirements and safety standards.

The Foreman will coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent, oversee maintenance, scheduling, and documentation while upholding the company’s values and commitment to quality and safety on heavy civil projects.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of related experience required.
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of aggregate equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret material testing procedures and gradations.
• Review project details with Project Manager and Superintendent before start.
• Understand and carry out operating and maintenance procedures for crushing equipment on each job.
• Coordinate mobilization of crusher equipment with the Superintendent.
• Schedule resources daily with Superintendent to establish efficient daily work plans.
• Maintain subcontractor related tickets and verify accuracy with PM.
• Submit time, receipts, JSAs, safety and equipment checklists on time.
• Communicate equipment availability and utilize company resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with Equipment Managers and Superintendents on equipment applications and schedules.
• Perform all necessary paperwork.
• Follow safety practices and cooperate with the safety representative.
• Maintain professional company image in appearance, conduct and communication.
• Manage and operate assigned job with compliance to safety and environmental guidelines.
