Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Desktop UI Developer to lead a greenfield effort creating Circuit Desktop for macOS and Windows. You will bridge the web UI to native desktop with Electron or Tauri, using Angular/TypeScript and REST APIs, while ensuring a native-grade, accessible experience.

You will own the desktop shell end-to-end—packaging, signing, notarization, and auto-updates—plus integrate with Google Cloud Platform and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years, Master’s with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ year in CS or related field.
• Proficiency in Angular (v10+), TypeScript/JavaScript, and Node.js; translate Figma designs into scalable UIs.
• Experience building desktop apps for macOS/Windows with Electron or Tauri; strong IPC and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Circuit Desktop application for macOS and Windows using Electron or Tauri.
• Implement desktop-specific features: system tray, native notifications, deep linking, installers and auto-updates.
• Develop cross‑platform UI using Angular/TypeScript; integrate with REST APIs and GCP services.
• Ensure WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility and perform performance profiling for startup and runtime.
