Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Desktop UI Developer to lead the greenfield Circuit Desktop project for macOS and Windows. You will bring a modern web UI skill set (Angular, TypeScript, Node.js) to a native-grade desktop experience, bridging the web app with OS features.

You will own the desktop shell end-to-end, including installers, auto-updates, performance tuning, and cross-platform packaging, while working in an Agile team with UX, backend, and QA professionals.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years, Master's with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of experience in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Angular (v10+), TypeScript/JavaScript, and Node.js, with ability to translate Figma designs into scalable, component-based UIs using design systems.
• Experience building secure production desktop applications for macOS and Windows using Electron or Tauri, with IPC, lifecycle, and security knowledge.
• Experience with packaging, code signing, auto-update mechanisms, and deploying services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Git and Agile methodologies, with focus on accessibility standards for dynamic, real-time UIs.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain the Circuit Desktop application for macOS and Windows using Electron (or Tauri) with an Angular/TypeScript UI.
• Implement desktop-specific features: system tray, notifications, deep linking, global shortcuts, and ambient presence; ensure clean IPC between UI and main processes.
• Build AI-driven desktop interfaces (chat, agents) using Figma designs and REST APIs; reuse Circuit's web design system on desktop.
• Own packaging, signing, and distribution pipelines across macOS and Windows; manage notarization, hardened runtime, and differential updates.
• Integrate native modules (Swift/Obj-C on macOS; C++/C# on Windows) and optimize startup, memory, and CPU usage; troubleshoot native crashes.
