Job summary

Cirrus Logic is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build products alongside our applications, systems and firmware teams. You will develop desktop tools for graphical configuration and tuning of Cirrus Logic ICs, and collaborate to define customer-facing tools.

The role requires strong OO skills in Java, C++ or C#, hands-on embedded software experience, and a passion for electronics. You’ll work with cross-functional peers to deliver high-quality, scalable software for embedded devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 6+ years of object-oriented software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, C++, C#, or similar statically typed language.
• Hands-on experience with development and testing of embedded systems.
• Experience developing desktop or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of multithreaded and multiprocess systems with IPC.
• Familiarity with Python or Ruby.
• Curiosity about microcontrollers and digital signal processing.
• Ability to collaborate with users both internal and external.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop critical desktop software tools that enable the graphical configuration and tuning of Cirrus Logic integrated circuits.
• Work with applications, systems and firmware teams to define and build customer-facing tools.
• Collaborate closely with the development team for stand-ups, requirement gathering and estimates, and project planning.
• Decompose project requirements into actionable stories and tasks, including effort estimates.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of your team’s development processes, with a focus on quality, scalability and performance.
