Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. seeks a Desktop UI Developer to lead the greenfield Circuit desktop project for macOS and Windows.

You will extend a modern web UI stack (Angular/TypeScript/Node.js) into a native-grade desktop experience, bridging web app design with OS-level integration and performance optimization. You will own end-to-end desktop lifecycle, including installers, signing, updates, and native modules where needed, while collaborating with design, backend, and platform teams in an Agile

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience.
Proficient in Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Node.js.
Experience building desktop apps with Electron or Tauri.
Knowledge of app lifecycles, IPC, and security best practices.
Experience deploying cross-platform packaging and auto-updates.
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and ARIA.
Familiarity with GCP and CI/CD practices.
Strong collaboration in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Circuit Desktop app for macOS/Windows using Electron or Tauri.
Implement desktop-specific features: system tray, notifications, deep links, auto-updates.
Ensure cross-platform performance, security, and native feel.
Integrate with REST APIs and Circuit web design system on desktop.
Own packaging, signing, and distribution pipelines across platforms.
Collaborate with designers, backend, and quality engineers.
