Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Currently certified as Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS, BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
