Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for a range of surgical procedures and cardiac cases.

The position includes participation in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, current APN-CRNA certification in Alabama, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications. Weekend rotation applies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• APN with CRNA specialty certification (Alabama Board of Nursing).
• Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications.
• Work experience cannot substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
