Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases and cardiac catheterizations.

The position includes teaching nurse anesthesia students and meeting Alabama Board requirements (CRNA), ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Part-time shifts with a 6 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule and weekend alternation apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• APN with CRNA Specialty by Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
