Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical and diagnostic procedures, and to participate in nurse anesthesia student instruction. This is a part-time position with a 6 a.m.–7 p.m.

schedule and alternating weekends. Qualified candidates must graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, be APN-CRNA certified by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and hold ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• APN with CRNA Specialty by Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
