Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases and cardiac catheterizations, and to participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. The ideal candidate will Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, hold Alabama CRNA certification, and maintain ACLS, BLS and PALS.

This part-time role offers a 6 a.m.–7 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
