Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects aligned with business objectives. You will establish scope, schedules, resources, and governance while maintaining progress visibility and facilitating decisions with sponsors and stakeholders.

This role requires 3–5 years of PM experience, a Bachelor's in a related field, and a PMP/CAPM is preferred. The position offers a hybrid work option within the U.S. and an annual compensation range of $85,000–$110,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or project management or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of project management experience coordinating cross-functional projects.
• Experience developing plans, managing scopes, schedules, risks and issues.
• Experience communicating status and facilitating decisions with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Experience using standard project management tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects through full lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
• Develop and maintain plans defining scope, objectives, milestones, and timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams; clarify roles, priorities and expectations.
• Monitor progress and communicate risks, issues, and decisions to sponsors.
• Facilitate meetings, document outcomes, and track commitments.
• Manage changes within established governance and approval processes.
• Coordinate budgets, resources, vendor activities, and administrative needs.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for transparency and accountability.
• Promote continuous improvement by applying lessons learned.
