Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Critical Care Stepdown unit. The role leads daily clinical operations and ensures quality patient care as a clinical leader alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with a master's preferred, 3+ years ICU experience, and is licensed in NY with ACLS/BLS; CCRN preferred. This is a full-time, evening shift position at Mount Sinai West.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in Critical Care (ICU).
• Current NY RN license; ACLS and BLS required; CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using Relationship Centered Care.
• Proficient in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).
• Integrate PHR into clinical activities to enhance care.
• Validate hourly rounds with direct observation and patient feedback.
• Daily rounding on all patients (Mon-Fri).
• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement data.
• Collaborate with physician dyad and escalate concerns.
• Support department mission, goals and objectives.
• Maintain nursing unit compliance with regulatory mandates.
• Evaluate staff performance; mentor and coach.
