Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead daily unit operations and ensure high-quality patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing unit. The role requires clinical leadership and adept oversight of nursing practice, with emphasis on relationship-centered care and staff development.

The position is full-time in the evening shift (11am-9pm). A BSN is required; a master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience with Charge Nurse/Supervisory exposure.
• Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Cath Lab experience required; NY RN license; ACLS/BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice with Relationship Centered Care principles.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Validate staff rounds hourly on all patients by observation and feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback.
• Conduct rounding of all patients daily (Mon-Fri).
• Communicate patient experience data to staff.
• Collaborate with physician dyad and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns and provide service recovery as needed.
• Design and lead a safe, therapeutic, patient-centered care environment.
