Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to assist with activities of daily living and support the care team under an RN’s direction. The role involves direct communication with patients and families and adherence to high professional standards.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, and Foley catheter care, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork. Requires PCT training and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience required.
• High School/GED required; completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCT Certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required; CPT, CPCT-A, or ACMA certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, movement.
• Perform phlebotomy, monitor vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care and document.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN; respond appropriately to maintain safety.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
