Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to assist with patients' daily living activities and support the care team on Pavilion 7, a medical-surgical unit focused on orthopedic and neurological care.

The role involves performing phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, and Foley catheter care under RN direction, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and education, in a 36-hour/week day schedule (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and PCT certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• CPT, CPCT-A, or ACMA certifications are acceptable as an alternative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transportation).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Notify RN of changes in patient status and participate in safety procedures.
• Reinforce patient and family education about care needs and safety.
