Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to assist with daily living activities and support the healthcare team in an academic medical setting. The role focuses on patient care, safety, and education within the Viner ICU and general units.

The position requires PCT training and active CPCT-A certification, with 0-2 years of experience preferred. This is a PRN, 7:00am-7:30pm schedule with weekend/holiday rotation, based in Camden, NJ.

Qualifications

• Duties include assisting with activities of daily living.
• Requires phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care.
• AHA CPR certification is not listed here.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley care.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and orientation of new hires.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and visitors.
