Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step-Down Unit 7 West at MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. The role supports patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, with a 5:1 nurse-patient ratio and state-of-the-art monitoring.

Rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts with weekends and holidays. Bi-weekly hours total 72, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced RNs and $5,000 for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or a program seeking accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Magnet-recognition certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West) with a 5:1 patient-nurse ratio.
• Work with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT.
• Utilize EKG interpretation and bedside procedures.
• Assist with procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
