Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step-Down Unit, 7 West. This full-time role covers rotating day/night shifts with a bi-weekly 72-hour schedule and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will care for CCSD patients including CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, perform EKGs, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures, while collaborating with PCNAs, interns, and providers. Sign-on up to $10k for experienced RNs, $5k for new grads; BSN preferred; OPERS benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Critical Care Step-Down Unit, 7 West.
• Perform EKG interpretation and monitor telemetry.
• Manage central lines and airway devices as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures and critical care interventions.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT and OT.
