Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step-Down Unit, 7 West, with rotating shifts and bi-weekly hours. The role involves caring for congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis patients in a demanding 24-bed unit, requiring strong EKG interpretation and bedside procedure support.

Qualifications include Ohio RN licensure, active BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and a nursing degree from an accredited program; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step-Down Unit, 7 West.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT and OT.
• Assist with bedside procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Use critical thinking, delegation and time management to prioritize care.
