Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Main Campus. You will care for adults with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, using EKG interpretation, central line care, and advanced airway support as part of a high-acuity team.

You will collaborate with PCNAs, providers, and rehab services to deliver comprehensive care, with rotating shifts and a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, including monitoring and supporting patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurses, providers, PT, OT to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Utilize critical thinking and time management to prioritize tasks and ensure patient safety.
