Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking a registered nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West). You will care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis, perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures, applying critical thinking and teamwork in a high-acuity environment.

Unit features 14 beds with advanced telemetry; bi-weekly hours totaling 72, rotating 7a–7p with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider certification.
• ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess required certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Perform EKG interpretation, central line care and bedside procedures.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies with critical thinking.
