Job summary

MetroHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Ohio. The role focuses on patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with a 24-bed unit and 5:1 patient ratio in a setting with advanced telemetry.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, BiPAP/oxygen management, bedside procedure assistance, and strong emphasis on critical thinking and time management. Eligible for sign-on bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification (or within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• EKG interpretation.
• Central Line care.
• Rescue BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Critical thinking, delegating, time management.
