Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West) in Ohio. The role focuses on high-acuity cardiac and medical-surgical patients with responsibilities including EKG interpretation, central line care, and assisting with bedside procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West) with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry for cardiac patients.
• Manage central lines and assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT to ensure patient safety and quality care.
