Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. This role involves rotating day/night shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, on a bi-weekly 72-hour schedule across a 14-bed unit.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, and managing advanced respiratory support such as Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, and Trach/Vents. Collaboration with PCNAs, interns, and providers is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• Current Ohio RN licensure
• BLS certification (AHA) within 90 days of hire
• ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications on hire

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West
• Perform EKG interpretations
• Care for central lines
• Manage respiratory support (Bi-PAP, high flow O2, Trach/Vents)
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management
