Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. The unit has 14 beds and rotating day/night shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with weekends/holidays rotating. Bi-weekly hours total 72.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, BiPAP/vent support, bedside procedures, and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider certification (or within 90 days of hire).
• Current ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire).
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Manage central lines and assist with line care.
• Support BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and vent care as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and maintain critical thinking and time management.
