Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus. The unit manages patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis, requiring EKG interpretation, central line care, and advanced respiratory support.

Collaboration with PCNAs, interns, and other clinicians is essential. Qualified candidates will hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS; PRN requires 1 year of RN experience and certifications at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; program seeking accreditation may be acceptable.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Current ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience; necessary certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, Providers, PT, OT.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management to ensure patient safety.
• Perform bedside procedures and assist with endoscopies/bronchoscopies as needed.
