Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Critical Care Step Down RN for 7 West. The role focuses on patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis, with 24 beds on the unit and a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, and assistance with high-acuity bedside procedures in a technologically advanced environment. Rotating shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends/holidays, bi-weekly hours totaling 72.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKG interpretation and monitor patient status.
• Provide Central Line care and manage line-related tasks.
• Utilize Rescue Bi-pap, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
